By now, you should know that Tubi is one of the premier FAST services on the market. Don’t let the “free ad-supported streaming” moniker scare you away. There are no hidden fees at sign-up. The only catch is ads play during your feature presentation. Think of it like commercials on cable TV. Honestly, it’s a solid trade-off for a good service.
Tubi’s lineup continues to improve each month. Some standout titles in February include Dune, Denis Villeneuve’s first movie of a two-part adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel; Easy A, Emma Stone’s hilarious teen comedy; and Licorice Pizza, Paul Thomas Anderson’s sweet coming-of-age tale. This article is catered toward action fans, and our picks below are three stone-cold classics.
We also have guides to the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+.
The Terminator (1984)
“I’ll be back.” 40 years later, that phrase from The Terminator still has a stranglehold on pop culture. Those three words were uttered by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s titular Terminator, a cyborg assassin sent from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), whose unborn son will one day lead the human resistance against machines.
Disguised as a machine, the Terminator hunts Sarah throughout Los Angeles, killing anything that comes in the way. Sarah receives a much-needed lifeline upon the arrival of Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn), a soldier from the future sent back by the resistance to protect John’s mother. With the Terminator on their trail, John must keep Sarah alive long enough as he figures out how to kill the cyborg. Masterpiece doesn’t even begin to describe The Terminator.

Predator (1987)
Muscles and guns, the Predator way. If “guys being dudes” were a movie, it would be Predator, John McTiernan’s 1987 seminal classic. Vietnam veteran Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is recruited by his comrade Dillon (Carl Weathers) to work as a mercenary for the U.S. government. The duo leads a team of soldiers to Guatemala to rescue a group of politicians.
The mission goes off without a hitch, but something is clearly wrong, especially when they find a group of skinned corpses. The soldiers soon learn that this is not the work of a man. No, this predator is an alien with an invisible cloaking device that allows it to hunt and kill without being seen. What starts as an extraction mission becomes a battle of survival, with Schwarzenegger taking on the predator head-on.

Bloodsport (1988)

Kumite, Kumite, Kumite. The movie that kicked off Jean-Claude Van Damme’s legendary action career was Bloodsport. U.S. Army Captain Frank Dux (Van Damme) grew up training under Senzo Tanaka (Roy Chiao), who taught him the way of ninjutsu. As an adult, Dux is invited into the Kumite, a secret and illegal Hong Kong martial arts tournament.
Dux abandons the army and makes the trek to Hong Kong. The tournament begins, and Dux becomes one of the top competitors. His biggest competition is defending champion Chong Li (Bolo Yeung), a competitor with little respect for his opponents. Not only does Dux have to worry about his opponents on the mat, but two military officers (Norman Burton and Forest Whitaker) threaten to arrest him before the tournament ends.
